Abaseen club and Friends club moved to next round after securing victories against their respective rivals in the ongoing hockey event part of the District Swabi Nazim Sports Gala being played on various venues in Swabi on Thursday. In the hockey event Abaseen club defeated Saleem Club by 4-0 and Friends club outclassed Khyber Club by 3-0 to move to the next round. In the cricket event Sami club, Shahbaz Club and Stars club also recorded victories against their respective rivals. Sami club defeated Yasir club six wickets, Shahbaz Kali beat Zalmi club by 30 runs. Likewise Stars club beat IME club by seven wickets.

In the athletic event Yasir Iqbal won gold medal in 100m, Basit got silver medal, in the 200m Sufaid Khan won gold medal, Yasir took silver medal. In the Javelin throw Atif Ahmad won gold medal, followed by Atif Zaman. Zulfiqar won gold medal in shot put while Nouman got second position and silver medal as well. In the Table Tennis event played at Zarobi, Swabi Hashim Khan moved to the quarter-finals after registering victories against their respective rivals in the pre-quarter-finals. Hashim Khan beat Haris Khan by 2-0, 11-7 and 11-9. Haris Khan beat Osama by 2-0, the score was 11-6 and 11-8. Hashim Khan defeated Mati Ullah and Haris Khan by 2-0. Now Hashim will face Basit Khan in the quarter-finals.
